Volite for the Décolletage

Humphrey Cosmetic Dermatology, Vancouver, British Columbia, Volite For The Decolletage

Naturally, when considering treatments for healthy-looking skin, the face deserves much of our attention – it’s our calling card to the world. However, just beyond the face is the décolletage – a sensitive and delicate area of skin, equally as affected by ongoing exposure to the elements as the face. Over time, the décolletage can become dehydrated and mottled as it’s exposed to UV rays and other environmental pollutants. Our sleeping habits can also contribute to creases. While the décolletage changes over time in similar ways to our faces, recent advancements in skin rejuvenation treatments offer a new approach to restoring its health and vitality.

Enter Juvéderm® Volite

Juvéderm® Volite is an innovative treatment designed to nourish your skin from the inside out. A purified form of injectable hyaluronic acid (HA), Volite works to improve skin hydration, smoothness, elasticity, and radiance. This treatment is designed to enhance the quality of the skin with cumulative benefits that include:

  • Enhanced skin quality and texture
  • Deep hydration and smoothness
  • Improved appearance of fine lines
  • Evened out skin depressions

By increasing the resiliency of skin, Volite has become a popular West Coast treatment that is safe and successful for the vast majority of our patients.

How does Volite work to keep the décolletage smooth, firm, and hydrated?

Tiny microdroplets of purified HA are injected into the middle layers of the dermis across many sites to nourish the décolletage from the inside out. The HA in Volite can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, which means a whole lot of hydration for your skin.

Volite begins working almost instantly and keeps the skin smooth, firm, and hydrated for up to 6-9 months – far longer than any topical moisturizers or serums that contain HA. It is a 15-minute treatment with little to no recovery time, though patients may experience some redness for 30-90 minutes following their treatment. Scientific studies on Volite show that 2-4 syringes twice a year yields the most beneficial results.

Volite and your 360° treatment plan

Volite can be used for the face, neck, hands, knees, upper inner arm, and any other areas of the body that are exposed to the sun and the elements. It’s a versatile treatment that works wonders in combination with other treatments and can be incorporated into just about any 360° plan.
